Fender Strat Classic Player 60

Postby jimuc » 20 Jul 2017, 08:18

Hi All,

I am thinking about treating myself to a Fender Strat Classic Player 60 and would be interested to get the views of any member who owns or has owned one.
Any advice gratefully appreciated
Many Thanks
Jim

Hi Jim, I have a Classic Player in Sonic blue and I'm delighted with it. Mine is the sixties version but I have owned the fifties one too and was equally impressed, you won't be disappointed. I think the only issue with these is the limited choice of colours available, that is unless they have introduced more options. I play mine a lot on gigs and it plays, sounds and looks as good as the more expensive models that I own. Does it give the vintage Hank sound ? Yes it does, as well as all the later sounds too. :)

Hi Dave ,

Thanks for your reply.
I was rather hoping the reports would be favourable.
You are correct about the colour choice.......I think Sonic Blue, Sunburst and Candy Apple Red are the only options, I personally favour the Candy Apple version.
Thanks once again for taking time to reply,
Kind Regards,
Jim
