Thank you Rob. I gratefully accept the prize - any one of the guitars will be fine...

I am afraid red Marvins do nothing for me... and I am even less keen on the red Shadows bass which Mark played on stage!

My only regret about buying my Marvin reissue was that I did not wait for the green sunburst!

Yes, and a Hofner. Needs a banjo too I believe. Honestly, he's only done half a job! ;) :P

Hi Andres,

I keep all my guitars in tune for the last 40+ years.
They are hanging on wall mounts and as you see racks(self-made on blades with casters).
My guitar/music room is climate and moister controlled.

Hi Cliff,

Please look closer on both pics the second one on the right is a red Shadow Custom "two" signatures one...with the "strat"neck pocket.
I've had my hands on a Gyatone/Antoria, but a friend of mine was so in love and almost in tears about it...I granted him the guitar.
A banjo is to flimsy for me....
Thanks for the compliment, about this part of my collection :D

Hi George,

I phoned Barry Gibson just after I received my white 40th anniversary Marvin, to ask about the green ones...I didn't order one, because of the "strat" neck pocket. (Thanks to the few "sissy's" ;) that complained about the kinda mandatory micro cracks, that are also on the original Marvin's and also on strats).
So I asked Barry to make me a British build Marvin in greenburst

Hi Bill,

There was a time you stumbled over Hofner Congreses over here...for almost no money...but none fancied me...(still)
Nowadays because every punter knows about the Marvin connection (long live the net)so prices are climbing.

Cheers Rob

Hi Gary,

Thanks for the compliments for this part of my collection, I hope the bulk of the collection won't get jealous ;)

Hi Steve,

Thanks, the trouble with detail pictures is...they pop up on the net everywhere...
A friend of mine got the police at his door with a claim of somebody who convinced the police that his guitar was stolen and he found it on the net.
My friend had to take a lawyer and had to made cost...multiple people and proof was needed to keep his own guitar...needless to say it was very stressful.
So I'm not that keen on detail pictures.
But what do you like to know? There's nothing special about my collection....mostly are just run of the mill guitars of age.
I'm sure you've seen enough along the years that are more rare and special! ;)
I'll be happy to answer any question you have :)
On this pictures all except two fiesta reds are on...a PB and a HM Squier. So you can see that colour along the decades.

Cheers Rob

Thanks, Rob. That’s reassuring. I’ll continue the practice then and keep my guitars, including the bass guitars, in tune. My studio is maintained at about 55% RH, essential here in the tropics as humidity can reach 90%+ in the wet season. I have four old cars, so I have to do the same for the garage.

Enjoy your collection.

Best,

Andres

Hi Andres,

Here it's only in summer very moistened, in winter we have to add moister.
I keep my room also around 50%, 60%+ is dulling the hardware.
I've friends with old cars, TR3-TR4 , MG-T,MG-A, E-type, SL300 GW etc and pre-war 30's cars a world on it's own ;)

Cheers Rob
