Guitar audio interface

Postby chippy71 » 05 Jun 2020, 17:47

For years now i have been using the behringer ucg102 usb interface into my windows XP tower PC but now i have got rid of that and are using a windows 10 laptop and of course the interface wont work on windows 10! Grrrrr. Does anyone know of a cheap interface i can use thats similar to the Behringer? i liked that because it was portable and self powering.

Cheers

It's how everything is designed these days, I've had to buy another keyboard because my new computer and Logic Pro X wouldn't talk to it :|

FYI. If your not already using it -- you need to install "asio4all".

I am using this with win10

The behringer driver does not work.

Good luck

ASIO4ALL Don't work with it theres a massive delay when playing (latency the word? )

Hi Neil,

In the last 18 months I have become a real fan of the Focusrite audio interfaces, they have good driver support and come with some really useful software, this one may be worth looking at:

I now use the Focusrite Claret 2 Pre USB and can honestly say that it more than betters my previous one, which cost almost twice as much!

Regards

I use it at the Shadows Club with Cakewalk Sonar Pro - no problems. I use it on the Laptop and at home on my Desktop.
I think there is latency issues when using Audacity - just about to try it.

I have just tried the UCG102 with Asio4all. I monitored whilst recording - no latency so I was able to play ok.
The actual track recorded probably needed to be adjusted to account for the actual recorded track latency which is normal for Audacity.
I don't use Audacity normally.

I also double checked it with my Cakewalk Sonar - all ok.

In order to get it to work with Audacity I had a bit of a fight with the built in mic on the laptop. Had to disable it????

Good luck
