I have fitted a set of vintage 59s Slider pickups to my Stratocaster and I was
wondering which Tone Caps others are using with their Slider pickups.
I have fitted a book type paper in oil .1uf cap on tone pots,
and a .022 as jumper on 5 way switch to have middle and bridge pickup sharing
lower tone pot.

Why put a capacitor as a jumper on the 5-way Carl?

Hi,
The jumper on the 5 way switch allows bridge pickup and middle pickup to share
the same lower tone pot on standard Stratocaster wiring.
The 54 pickups are known to be very bright so a series cap on 5 way switch helps more tone control.
I read it on one of Charlies posting many years ago.
Regards
Carl.
