Rusty Fender Strings again

Postby SJB » Tue Nov 02, 2021 1:06 pm

Here we go again.
I purchased two sets of Fender Bullets some months ago and two more sets couple of weeks ago cos I forgot about the others. :-x

Seems the 1st - second and third strings in all packets have rust on them. Time to stop purchasing fender strings.
The concerning thing is that they state on the packet that the packet stops rust?

Try Elixirs. Their coating doesn’t interfere with the sound and they can’t corrode. They last 2 or 3 times as long.

Other coated strings are, of course, available.

Definitely recommend Elixir. I’ve got quite sweaty hand, but have no problem with Elixir strings tarnishing.
