Thanks Dave.

I appreciate pointing me in the right direction, and a bit of head start in experimenting with the Volante.

Best wishes

Hi Chris hope you get on ok with your volante if you find a setting that you like take a photo of the settings and you can then save that setting to one of the 8 presets at least if you delete it by mistake while getting use to it you have something to fall back on
and can re save it.phil

I will do my best to help by answering questions, but to write it all out would take ages.
Use the saturation level, wear and spacing knobs and listen to what they add. They add character & grunt to the delays. The spacing gives you the Meazzi patterns.
I use my speed selector in the middle setting and the variable speed knob to get it spot on.
You can save up to eight favourites if you read the instructions.

Something I forgot to mention.
The feedback button you need for most Shads tunes is 4, leave the others off.

Thank you Chris, I don't mind helping out when it's simple and quick, but there are so many parameters on these gadgets that it would take an eternity to write it all down and explain what they all do.
My experience has been gained by switching them on, plugging in and going through what they do, making notes on what I feel is important. Once you get the timing in your head for the track you want to play, it's a matter of finding the final 'kick' in the echo and listening carefully to the additional 'kicks' before, but at a lower level - or sometimes a higher level, listen to the records.
Very often you will realise that there isn't as much echo present as you imagined. That is the only way to learn and for it to sink in.
Once you understand what's going on, you can apply it to lots of different devices as it becomes clearer. :)

Thanks Dave,
I’m looking forward to do just that, when my guitars return from the guitar technician.

Many thanks
