Solder iron for pickups change

Not use the middle pickup??? I use it frequently for various Shads numbers.I remember thst Hank spoke of using the middle pickup on some recordings.It offers a totally different mix of harmonics from the bridge and neck pickups.Then thete is the issue of the mix of mid pickup with either the brudge or neck pickups.This produces the unique sound used by so many guitarists and is the reason the 5 wsy selector switch came about.
The other makes of guitars referred to with only bridge and neck pickups cannot produce this sound at all.
Arguably this makes the middle pickup a most important part of the unique strat sound.
