An example of a simple amp is the Fender Pro Junior, I've just repaired Jimbo (Old Fart's ) pro junior
today and what a great sound it is and loud too!

Dead simple 2 x ECC83 and 2 EL84's, one volume and one tone control!

If you think a binson and an old AC30 sonds good then you want to hear
Justin's Meazzi through the 1962 AC15 amp I have here.

Hi Amanda,
Interesting how many highly rate the Pro Junior with its 10" speaker in preference to the more expensive Blues Junior with its larger 12" unit - any technical reasons why this should be?
I've had the pleasure of playing my mex strat through Justin's meazzi and amp at our South West Shads Club gatherings and can confirm it utterly transformed my guitar's tone. Couldn't stop grinning all the time I played, :D which of course has left me dissatisfied with any other equipment ever since . . .
Cheers,
