I read somewhere recently that Hank Marvin is using string gauges 9 to 50.
That, to me, seems an odd range.
What would be the "in between" string gauges and who might the makers be?

That might be the gauge he uses on his gypsy jazz acoustic electric guitars, rather than his Strats etc
The Maccaferri type guitars are often used with different gauges and metal windings etc from most acoustic steel strings, and these specialised sets are made to get THAT Django type sound...!
