The notion of buying a guitar lead was ridiculous in the early sixties for our lot.
You bought 2 Radiospares square sort of bakelite jack plugs and a length of the cheapest, thinnest co ax cable you could get.
No complaints then.

I have a set of Planet Waves cables 15ft x 2 and they are going strong after 10yrs and they seem to help with single coil PU and buzzing stuff ...

Just recieved the leads from Weardale Electrics 1x6m gold ends 1 straight 1 angled, 4x6" slim patch,1x18" slim patch, cable is Van Damme pro, jacks are Neutrik pro, all for £24.49 inc p/p. 5 stars for quality/price/del

A guitar cable consist of a center signal core and a concentric screening core both copper wired. A guitar cable is ok if there is no noise out the amp when you are moving the cable. I would never buy such crazy expensive cables connected whith Lo Fi amps. I make cables myself, using simple mike cables and cheap plugs, no problem.
It's only better for the profit of the selling shops and producers.

I checked the price for cable and plugs and could not do them cheaper diy, they did sound different last night at the hankies as i was using my old analogue hearing aid which is crap !!
