Good to get differing opinions and outcomes on this topic. It seems you choose an option, i.e in my case to fix the wobble only on existing block thread probably as suggested with araldite rather than plumbers tape periodically

Highly recommend the Wilkinson Vintage Tremelo system with solid steel block available on the internet new from around £35 complete.
It solved the problem and pivots cleanly with no slippage or wobble once arm fixing screw is tightened.

I got 2 strats that I put together and the trems on both are Wilkinson.
