Gretsch 5120

Postby d jones » Sat Jul 30, 2011 4:35 pm

Hi All

I've just picked up a Gretsch 5120 and even though i'am a novice player i must admit i'am well pleased with the quality to say they are built in Korea. Has anyone else here got one, or has any opinions on the 5120

Many thanks for any replies!

Hi Dave

Your lucky if yours is a "made in Korea" as they were made in the Peerless factory & are of far better quality than the current Chinese versions :)

The pick ups are decent , but well worth upgrading to TV Jones for a noticeable hike in sound quality

I have the Peerless version & all I have changed are the pickups & fitted a Compton bridge

Happy twangin'
