I have bought a pair of X5B and will try them tomorrow night.

Did in fact use the XSB's last night and found them to be very good.
The slight extra length made a bit of difference in reach, obviously, weight was good and as they are slightly fatter than many sticks they suited my hands.
Response was excellent and volume from my drums was plentiful.
