I have just acquired an APK kit circa 1991 and I am amazed at the quality of sound produced. Much as I will need to rehead the whole kit, it has Premier heads on it, I find it has a deep sound which reminds me of my early years playing my Olympic kit.
Plain black wrap and chrome is immaculate, I had forgotten how good Premier chrome was.
I see Premier have bought KD drums in Lancashire and are going to make drums in the UK later in 2012.
Kit is:
22x16" bass
16x16" floor tom
13x12" and 12x11 hanging toms.
A good alternative to my Ludwig fusion kit.

I used to have a red APK, bought in 1995. A five-piece with very vibrant red coloured shells. Gigged and recorded with it for about a year, then it gathered dust until I sold it. Nice kit.
