Al Stewart is currently on tour with a band of distinguished musicians which includes Mark Griffiths on bass.

To be fair, though, I've only ever heard one good song by him (and you can probably guess what that was).
But that one song was brilliant.

Al Stewart was on Radio 2 today and mentioned that Mark was playing bass for him at the Royal Albert Hall. He mentioned that Mark had played bass for The Shadows for 20 years and added words to the effect that it must have been a real cool gig to get.

The session bass player on Al Stewarts year of the cat Lp
was non other than George Ford who also appeared with the shadows in the late 70's .
