Mark Griffiths

If anyone is interested, Mark Griffiths is playing bass with "Any Trouble" at the Woolpack in Doncaster this Saturday December 5th.
Band on stage at 8 p.m. A chance to see the last contracted Shadows bass player close up. Tickets £12 on the door.

Among Mark's many other musical linkings, he has been the regular bass player for Plainsong (Iain Matthews / Andy Roberts) and they have recently recorded the album Reinventing Richard Fariňa (Fledg'ling Records) on which Mark plays "Fender P bass, Yamaha BB Fretless bass, Fender Telecaster, Fender Stratocaster, Sakure LP and Ibanez mandolin".

Richard Fariňa was a folk singer from the 1960s and this is a folk/rock album. Back in the 1970s Mark was of course lead guitar for Iain Matthews in Matthews Southern Comfort.

He was married to Mimi Farina, younger sister of Joan Baez.

Of course Clive Gregson is the leading light of "Any Trouble" - saw him a couple of weeks ago with Liz Simcock performing songs from the Gregson Collister period, which was a wonderful gig!
