Hello Ivo,

Did you have it handmade by Burns or someone else? Would like to know if the black van Gent (?) tuners are still available.

Thanks, Luigi

Hello Luigi,

Yes, I have had it handmade by Burns Guitars in London. The black Gent tuners are probably still available, but maybe it's best to put your question to Barry Gibson. By the way, the green burst edition is more expensive than the white edition.

All the best,
Ivo.

Thanks Ivo.
I have a green burst (number12), bought at Shadowmania from Barry many years ago. Recently bought a white Shads bass from Barry, but it has silver tuners, otherwise the same as green. I do prefer the green machine.
Earlier picture of green burst with signatures, I think one is Bruce and the other is Alan Jones.
Enjoy, you must do Zambesi and John's version of Nivram and post for us all to see !

Cheers, Luigi

Here's a picture of a similar - or the same?- bass on the Oasis stand at the Pipeline Convention 1996.

... and here's a still from the video above. It looks like a Shadows Bass with the toast rack removed.

This is the best screen grab I can get, Luigi. What do you think?

Can't be sure, that's why I wonder if there is anyone who has one. Looks very much like a Rostill bass, but some of the 60's Burns basses had "jump ramps" rather than Marvin scrolls. Could it be a 60's Burns bass ?
