Did anyone buy one of the 'Sue Ryder' basses developed by Mark Griffiths circa 2009?
Came across this article: https://www.keighleynews.co.uk/news/463 ... r-quality/
Would love to know if they were good - cursory reports I can see suggest very good guitars at a very cheap price!
Apparently the range was very extensive beyond the bass... "The Ryder comes in ten models – four solid-bodied electric, one semi-acoustic, two acoustic, two classical and an electric bass."
One or two other mentions here:

Thank you!

Yup, I have one - the red version as used by MG on the Royal Variety Show. Got it from someone on one of the bass sites. He had bought one in each colour! He decided to sell the red one as it had a lacquer crack on the back. Cost me £40 plus shipping.

Plays as well as a Squier PB and at the price was a no-brainer!

Me too. Bought it from the Sue Ryder shop. I’ve gigged with it. Does the job.

I went a bit daft back then. Started with a white Tele clone, after reading Noel Ford's glowing review on this site. Superb value, and still played from time to time. Then I decided to buy a Strat as well, this time in blue. At the time, I wasn't as impressed as with the Tele, though the blue colour was really nice. Neck seemed a wee bit chunkier than I was used to. However, dug it out a while back and decided I had misjudged it!

By the time I decided I needed a red bass to complete the set, they were sold out on the Sue Ryder site. Trawling around on the bass sites, where it was highly regarded, I found one for sale.

Griff gave the Sue Ryder a terrific workout in that RVP. Just listen!

My Mark Griffiths "Sue Ryder Bass" is white. I'm assuming this was an alternative colour to the red one?
