Finaly Managed to find a set of La Bella 0760M Flatwounds 052/ 073 /095 /110 gauge
fitted them to my precision Bass Ready for a rehearsal Tommorrow.
Il see What if any difference they make To My sound etc ,And report Back.
i have had Thomastiks fitted for the last 12 months, (great Strings ) i have tried D'addarios (not for me on a fender but great on my Burns)
Just 1 thing to add ,i have fitted a Badass Bridge And had To Drill Out the Hole For the E string 110
as it would not go through due to the winding on the Bridge end of The string.
it was only a very slight enlargement of the hole, but just be aware if you have a badass bridge fitted.

Regards

Blimey- those La Bella flatwound bass strings are about as expensive retail in the UK as over here in Australia too- IF you can find them...

I can confirm that they last forever(my wife still has a set on her Fender Precision Lyte after about 13 years!) and they still sound great, as well as being easier on the hands and the bass (they don't chew up the frets like rounwound bass strings do...)

If I ever find another set in a shop somewhere, then it's hang the expense!
