Its String change time Again for the precision i am using fender 9050 flatwound 45/100 at the momment
which are great,i may try the 50/105 gauge to see if they give a fuller 60's sound?
i have tried most of the recognised brands ,realy like the thomastiks 48/100 but too expensive
la bella 52/110 were too heavy for me as i play finger style most of the time, they are fine when using a plectrum.
d'addario chromes 50/105 are great on my burns ,but didnt suit my precision
also tried rotosound rs77 and Elites, but prefered the thomastiks & fenders.
while searching for the best deals i came across Status Hotwire Bass strings ,has anyone tried the Flatwounds
on a precision Bass? they look to be good value at £16.99 + vat
