We often lament the lack of tone options available on P basses. Earlier in the year Ian Cross showed me a simple conversion available from the link below. What it does is replace the tone control with a six tone filter and replaces the volume control with stacked volume and tone as normally found on the P bass. It is very easy to fit, requires no soldering. Including post it comes out at around £67. The tone filter, in my view increases the tonal range significantly and so far I am rather impressed. Just wondered if anyone else has tried one and what you think ?
It's available through ebay, link below.

Hi Luigi ~ as far as I know, you are the second on the site to try the varitone harness! Glad to hear you find it useful, as I do. It does extend the tonal range of the Precision and I find it particularly useful as I use both fingers and plectrum and can vary the desired tone easily. Cheers ~ Ian.
