Beginner Help

Postby davidturner » Tue Nov 03, 2009 8:50 pm

Hi my name is David. I have just bought a beginners Bass guitar outfit. I have been searching the internet for any number of hours for The Shadows bass sheet music or tablature. I have found one or two but find them a bit overkill. Can anyone help with some that is suitable for a complete beginner? Thanks.

Hi David,
You can find some bass tabs on the French "Shadowmaniacs" site by Michel Hénaux (who is himself a bass player) : http://shadowmaniacs.free.fr/tablatures.html

Thanks to everybody for the responses, I live in the Newtownards area of Co. Down N.Ireland. I have asked in most of the local shops and am being told the last published book was about 30 years ago!
Cheers David.

hi everyone what a lovely warm welcome to yet another new member, just as a club should be.I also recent bought a bass not that i can play it yet i'am still in the novice bracket on the guitar but i'am enjoying the new hobby should have done it years ago, still at 47 it's not too late. Having been a shads fan all my life i went for a burns rostill bass but i don't want to take it out of it's case, just open it every now and than to admire. So i too would also like to say a big warm welcome to David from one fan to another!

Great to have your here too Dave... what's your location?

There's certainly a Shads club in NI and maybe one near you too... if so, you'll find lots of personal help and encouragement there!
