Squier Baritone VI

Postby bassboogie » Sat Jul 13, 2013 10:51 am

For those who occasionally fancy a baritone bass, Squier have a new cracker, 3 tone sunburst version (sadly no fiesta red).
GAK are selling them for £273.

All we need now is some BT's for the Harris/Meehan era. Nudge, nudge, to all you BT'ers.

A very impressed, Luigi

Hi Pat,

Thankfully for Devon Shads club members no.
Just ordering one, then there's the uphill struggle of learning to play it to my usual high standards, before I go public and annoy everyone.

Hi Jay,

Yes that looks like the one, they do white as well.
Go to the GAK site, I think there are 3 colours available (other is Black ?).
Agree about the demo, but in the right hands (not mine) and for £273, it's a good deal.
Now if you get one, I'll be first in line requesting your fabulous transcriptions of Jet and Tony's numbers.
Still a bit peeved that Fender don't do one in fiesta red, like the P bass, Fender should wake up and recognise the man who put both these instruments on the map.
Hope you and Kay are well.

I Seem to remember that Fender did the pawn shop version of the fender bass VI in fiesta red
you can always get a refinish if it has to be red.
i would imagine most of Jets and Hanks solo's using the Bass VI are already available in tab or notation.
Have you seen any footage of Hank playing the Bass VI ?cant seem to find any on you tube ?
Kay Is fine , bored but resting from a major op she had a couple of months back.
regards

Moderators

Is there any way this can be merged with Alan's earlier post on the same subject, to avoid duplication?

Fellow members

Before posting a new topic, can you check that no-one else has started a thread already, thereby avoiding above-mentioned duplication?

Hi George,

Baritone basses are a bit in between and of interest to both bassists and lead players, probably more to a lead player.
I missed Alan's thread and apologise, but I tend to scan Bass Matters first, as it's for bass players, but will be quite happy with a merger, should the moderators wish.

No problem, Luigi. I tend to go straight to Active Topics and then take it from there. In the past people have missed information on one thread because they have been following another.

I do fancy a sunburst Bass VI at that price...
