The recent passing of Left Banke's Mike Brown, composer of Walk Away Renee, led me to this long forgotten and worthy British cover version from 1967 by The Truth. The brief guitar solo is supposedly by Big Jim Sullivan.

I had never heard of this group before, I liked the original song but The Four Tops did an atrocious version later on
