From today's Mail website...

2018 is going to be an exciting year for Sir Cliff. On October 14, his 77th birthday, he will announce plans to mark his 60 years in showbusiness since his 1958 debut hit, Move It.

I wonder if these 'plans' will include a reunion with the Shads...?

Sorry if I offend anyone, but I for one thought 50 was the Final One. Just
cant see the point of repeating again any re-union show in same format again.

Final TOUR yes, but I can't see any problem with doing a few shows at one venue. And it wouldn't necessarily have to follow exactly the same format.

And what's the point? Maybe they might enjoy it and maybe a lot of other people would too?

Today's Mirror insists the Shadows will be involved in 2018, and quotes Cliff's remarks about his 100th as evidence...

I hate to be a dampener but the Mirror actually said the celebrations are 'highly likely to include the Shadows'...I think people may be getting carried away by wishful thinking.

Apologies. I wrote my post on my phone on a train home from London, having flicked through the Mirror in Smiths at Euston.

Since I believe the Mirror started the Reunion Rumours following Cliff's comments - which they recycled in today's paper- I thought I had summarised the small part of the article, indicating that they are using a dubious quote in the first place.

For what it's worth, I am not convinced that a reunion is on the cards...

Hank recently said he didn't think they could top the 50th anniversary shows. He isn't keen but who knows? I believe Bruce and Brian would happily do it. Wonder if they'll get Licorice on bass? :D
