RIP Pete May

Postby dave robinson » Sat Feb 24, 2018 12:49 am

Just heard the sad news from Warren Bennett that Hank & Cliff's former drummer Pete May passed away after a long illness.
He suffered from mutiple myloma. I had the pleasure of seeing him play several times and he was an outstanding musician. RIP Pete.

He was a great drummer. I saw him at least twice, with Cliff at the 1989 Wembley Stadium spectacular, 'The Event', and then around 2000 when he toured with Hank. As I say, a very, very good drummer and I'm sure that he'll be sorely missed both on a professional and personal basis.

Strangely, he replaced Graham Jarvis in Cliff's band - another drummer who died prematurely young.

So shocked, just read this post. Saw him on Hank's concerts. Tragic, so sorry.
