I first became aware of Gerry McGee via an episode of the Channel 4 science documentary programme Equinox, about the electric guitar which was shown in 1987. At the time (pre-Internet - YouTube etc) it was quite unusual to see film of rock/pop performances by anyone, and I would scan the TV listings pages every week - hoping for a glimpse of 50s/60s musical talent. This programme was a revelation, as it featured an amazing film of Jerry Donahue playing The Claw...as well as The Shadows, the Burns factory film etc. etc. It also featured a young Francis Dunnery when he was guitarist in It Bites

I wonder if any other posters remember this programme...

I think i remember it, but some tv programmes, of the documentary ilk, don't quite get it right. But as we all know, we cannot rely just on our memories!
