R.I.P. Vangelis

Another one of the all time greats has passed away. Vangelis, famous for for instance the soundtracks of the films "Chariots Of Fire", "Missing", "Blade Runner" and "Conquest Of Paradise" has passed away. As we all know, the themes of the first two were also recorded by The Shadows for their "Life In The Jungle" album from 1982. During their appearance on "6.55 Special", Hank was interviewed about the album and mentioned that they personally met Vangelis.
As well as these works, I also like (and have) the 1977 studio album "Spiral", tracks of which were used in films and on television programmes.

The 'Blade Runner' music is great especially the 'Love Theme'- a great film overall it has to be said.

And don't forget his earlier work with Aphrodite's Child, a band which also included a young Demis Roussos on guitars, bass and vocals.
