Cor, this is an old thread! Barely remember it!
There's no issue with Karaoke Version, Norman. I use their tracks all the time (only a couple of their Shads ones, though).
I believe this thread was about their version of Riders in the Sky. I can't think of any other reasons why I'd start it. After a couple of emails with their customer service I had established that the record they had copied was not by The Shadows, but in fact one made by a cover/tribute band, one which deviates quite significantly from The Shadows' interpretation (that said, it was a superb replication of the tribute track!). I think I was asking members here who also use that site to contact them to apply a bit of 'people pressure' so that they would re-record it copying The Shadows' genuine version. I was annoyed that they were happily, knowingly selling a product which wasn't what it said on the tin. All this time since I informed them of their error they still haven't re-recorded it because they don't generate enough revenue from their Shads tracks. They pay local musicians (Northern France) to make their tracks and I'm guessing they don't want to commit funds to a track which won't make its money back. Years later, hidden on a little website I've not encountered before or since, I found a Riders... backing track far superior (IMO) to anything which has been made by anyone and I've been using it ever since (although it still required a lot of tweaking and editing before I was happy to use it).
As a company I like them a lot. They have good communication, an excellent and user-friendly concept in their custom backing tracks, and their product is consistently good (other than certain tracks made years ago, some of which could do with improving/updating).
HTH...
