For those of you who produce Backing Tracks, how about making CD's of individual Shadows/Hank Marvin album Backing tracks? Just a thought.

I'd have said that the well-known series ("UB Hank", "That Sound!", "Shadows Workout", "Lead n", "Backin' The nns", etc) are "CDs of individual Shadows/Hank Marvin album Backing tracks", so you must mean something different from how I'm interpretiung it.

Do you mean BT CDs for whole albums (such as all fourteen tracks on the 1961 LP "The Shadows", or all thirteen from "Out Of The Shadows")?

If so, the BTs for See You In My Drums and Little B might be a bit difficult to do on a drum machine!

Yes it's a little difficult to put it simply I agree, an album containing all the BT's to say "Jigsaw" or "From Hank,Bruce etc".
Maybe even "Rarities" or Hank Marvins "Would You believe It Plus" compilation. If this isn't feasible, perhaps the ability to download individual tracks, for a fee, might work.

"Jigsaw" is the Shadows album which most nearly approaches having all its tracks available as BTs (very largely due to Ian McCutcheon).

Guess which ones are missing?

Here goes:

Side One:

1. Jigsaw - "Shadows Workout 7"

2. Tennessee Waltz - "Shadows Workout 7"

3. Prelude In E Major - "Shadows Workout 7" [see a pattern developing?]

4. Cathy's Clown - Lead 6

5. Stardust - U B Hank (1)

6. Semi-Detached Suburban Mr James - "Shadows Workout 7" [there's that man again]

7. Trains And Boats And Planes - not available (as far as I know)

Side Two:

1. Friday On My Mind - Shadows Workout 12

2. Winchester Cathedral - not available (as far as I know)

3. Waiting For Rosie - Shadows Workout 4

4. Chelsea Boot - Shadows Workout 5

5. Maria Elena - U B Hank Again (2)

6. With A Hmm-Hmm On My Knee - Shadows Workout 8

7. Green Eyes - Shadows Workout 9.

Ah... For some reason, I don't have Shadows Workout 10 loaded into iTunes (which is how SMSE plays out its BT CDs).

I'll rectify that asap.
