Just received my copy of THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO on Blu-ray.
As expected, the film looks amazing. Far better than on DVD or, I imagine, than it did on the big screen in 1965!
Admittedly, I bought it mainly for the Cliff and Shadows footage. I'd seen it a year or so back, but wanted to own it all.
What we have are the four solo performances of 'Shooting Star' (HANK, BRIAN, BRUCE and JOHN) and the song performed by all of them (+Cliff) in wideshot.
A fairly rudimentary 'music video' of the song and HANK, BRUCE and JOHN miming to 'Lady Penelope'.
There's also a short interview/documentary featuring Gerry Anderson and telling the story of the run up to Thunderbirds. What's interesting here is that, for the opening titles, they use the Shads version of the TB theme and not the original.
All in all, worth having. I think.
FAB.
