Another tale from the shop days.

Postby Mike Honey » Sat Dec 19, 2009 7:49 am

I hope you dont find these little stories boring but heres another!
As anyone who has ever had a music shop will tell you, its not just about selling instruments. The shop becomes a social gathering place , where you can chat about your fave instrument all day long. One day a guy and his son came into the shop to buy the son a guitar. it was obvious that the son was just starting his first band and needed a better guitar. I left them alone to try several different models. Another guy we knew came in to buy just two mic cables. we got talking, as you do, and he said that his voice was sore from all the singing he had been doing. At this point the man trying the guitars came over and said " My son is looking for a singer, heres our phone number if you're interested". The guy I was speaking to said "thanks very much but I'm a bit busy right now" and left the shop. I said to the first guy " you didnt recognise Leo Sayer did you?"!!! Was his face red!!
