For some time, most media people worldwide seem to have been getting younger- probably 20-somethings...and somewhat older ones of 35-45 are considered virtually wise old gurus of everything...

To some degree, it wasn't a waste of time as it confirmed the general ignorance of the people running the media these days. It all began with the Beatles and anything and everything before that just doesn't matter. Sad, but worth knowing. Perhaps if there is enough of an outcry, the BBC will decide to make a programme that puts matters straight. Although I shan't be holding my breath waiting for it...

To be fair, there is some validity in that, as the Beatles took their influence from virtually every type of music in existence, rather than just rock and roll.
