Well, Hull is the 'City of Culture 2017'. But more than its fair share of rubbish, if I remember correctly! (sorry, I lived in that other old fishing port on the South Bank many years ago!)
To be fair, I have good memories of going to Hull in the 1970s on the ferry - before the Bridge opened - and buying Shadows albums from Sidney Scarborough's record shop in the city centre. And, of course, saw the Shads there in 1981. Those were the days...
Oh and yes, definitely pretending to be the Shadows.
