Hello Jim,

We've never met but I've admired your work and I believe we've been in contact in various forums a few times. I'm so saddened to hear your news, but all I can do is send my thoughts and prayers for your comfort. I'll miss your musical posts old friend.

Warm thoughts,

Len

I think the above posts sum up how we all feel for you.
I have only had the guts to get up and play in the last 3 years (I am 71/2) - and you have had a lifetime of playing.
The way you are facing the situation is amazing.

I just hope you can continue to enjoy the music and post from time to time.

Sorry to hear this, i too have been struggling to play over the last few months (i'm 44) due to an old shoulder injury that has started to turn arthritic and can only play for about 20 minutes max.
I haven't played much for weeks now and the skin on my fingertips has went soft.

Jim, this is indeed sad news, I hate to think of anyone being forced to give up playing for reasons outside their control, even someone as mediocre and talentless as myself. I am thankful that so far all I have is a little twinge in a couple of my fingers, which hasn't been a problem yet. Always someone worse off than yourself, I keep saying to the mirror.

All the best Jim, and I hope listening to your favourite music continues to bring you pleasure.

Hello Jim

I am really sorry to hear about this for the following reasons:

1. I've always enjoyed you company at North Notts Guitar Club - been a pleasure to discuss various topics with you, and , of course, have you playing drums on "Hava Nagila" and other frenetic numbers we used to play at North Notts!
2. I was hoping that I could ask you to play drums on some of my original compositions late this year or early next year, which I am hoping to record.

Best wishes

Tony

...this is really sad news Jim. You were always a real connoisseur with your equipment - and took care of all the little details that made the difference. It is terrible that illness has robbed you of one of the small things in life that have given so much joy...

Sending you my very best wishes always,

Tony
