Not realy music related just making people aware of this scam
people are recieving emails or text messages claiming you have overpaid on your vehicle tax
in order to claim your refund you need to give your personel details.
THIS IS A SCAM
DVLA are aware of the situation and advice you to forward any such messages to them

That's fine, stuff in The Lounge doesn't have to be music-related - thanks for letting us know, Jay.

I recently received a similar email purporting to come from Barclays. I didn't fall for it, mainly because I bank with Nat West!

As I only pay £30 a year, I would suspect any refund scam other than the official one as when
you trade in a vehicle etc.
Happy to contribute to a couple of tins of treacle which fill a pothole for about a week!!!
