Nothing to do with music, but the extensive media coverage of the bushfires in Australia made me wonder if Perth (where Hank lives) or neighbourhood areas also suffer from bushfires. Does anyone know?

Hank moved to Australia because he wanted to live somewhere with a better climate than England, may be he might start to think it's a little too warm now...

His previous house(Tudor style), a good hour drive N-E of Perth (now a Health/Spa/Leisure hotel) is located in a very dry valley ....
So who knows what happened there?
Good thing he's living in a luxury apartment in Perth now!

I hope that all of our friends there, Paul, the TVS crew, and all the others in Australia are all right. The maps on the fires are frightening. Be safe, all.

We had a volcano erupt a week ago and still threatening to erupt explosively. Ultimately, we are like ants on a hill.

With best wishes,

Andy

I see that Olivia Newton-John is one of many people performing at a fund raising concert for the victims of the fires.

The fires in oz seem to have been (according to our local media i.e. the sunny south of England) put out by a deluge of rain?

Devine intervention methinks???

It is just me (probably) or do the media take particular delight, in finding news reports to frighten us?

Currently I am fighting a hopeless battle against:-

Gobal warming - either ten past eight next friday or the end of the current(and poss. final) century.

Some thing called Corona ( a fizzy drink when I was a lad)

ISIS (was not he/she an ancient god - or a Bob Dylan song)

Breakdown of the worlds economy ( funny how the rich just get richer)

And thats just for starters - I am starting to get nostalgic for the days when all that worried me was:

Invasion by a foreign power ( You know who I mean)

Blown to atoms by an atom bomb.

Tis the flying fickle finger of fate mate!

Kindest regards,
Christopher
