I like melodies such as Sleepwalk, Cavatina and similar, as they require passion and feel to be able to perform. I also enjoy more complex up tempo stuff such as The Savage and Man Of Mystery et al - However some prefer nondescript drivel which never did and never would make an impact on the record buying public, simply because it is a dirge to listen to which comes under the category of 'I'm losing the will to live'.
