Hi Jim.
I don't know if it plays or not,as my
record players are up in the loft and
it's not easy for me to get up there
these days.
I have all Shane Fenton's singles anyway,
which of course includes "A Fool's Paradise."
Cheers...George.

Just bought Bobby Elliott's autobiography. Before he joined the Hollies, he played with the Fentones... pipping Keith Moon to the job, apparently!

Can't be 100 percent certain, as there seem to be few other close-up images of him, but it is likely to be Tony Hinchcliffe, from that period in 1962.

We ( Pete Mystery & the Strangers) opened for Shane Fenton and the Fentones when they headlined at the Royal Pier ballroom Southampton sometime during the early 60s. We had the cheek to cover one of his hits on the night, probably not the wisest thing to do  Great days !

I don't think I've heard this before, so The Mexican sounds fresh to to me. The only sound comparison I can make, if it's necessary to do do that, is with the English group, The Eagles from around the same time as this Fentones gem was released.
Thank you for sharing.
Simon.
