The most iconic Bond of them all and star of The Frightened City, among so many others. R.I.P.

In the early sixties, 'Sean' was virtually unknown as a man's name in England. I remember jokes about pronouncing it like 'bean' because the idea of pronouncing it as 'shawn' seemed odd. So Sean was a bit of a trailblazer when it came to men's names.

Yes he was one of the last of the Hell Drivers from that superb British action film from 1957.
Think this was probably his first major appearance on screen in a tough guy role.
The St Cuthberts Horse and Cart Dairy Men were still operating in Edinburgh up to the 1970s
at least, maybe then selling Double 00 cream!!!

There can be only one.....a line from one of his movie's he has done (Highlander).
Still puzzled me, a scot plays a Spanish peacock and a frog with a yank accent plays a highlander....
But like Dave wrote, he was,he is and will be the only one James Bond forever...
RIP Sean, thanks for the great movies!

I am a big fan of the James Bond as well. Sean is of course the original James Bond, but the first full Bond film I ever saw, was "Live And Let Die", the first with Roger Moore, so for me Roger Moore will always be special as James Bond.
Together, Sean and Roger have played in more than half (13, not including the unofficial "Never Say Never Again") of the official Bond films released so far (24, the 25th is finished, but still has to find a suitable release date). Sadly, both are not with us anymore, but fortunately, they both have had a long and good life: Roger died on May 23rd, 2017 at the age of 89 and would have been 90 that year (also on October 14th, just like Cliff and myself!) and Sean turned 90 on August 25th this year.
Rest in peace Sean...
