After my last post I was triggered into finally changing my aged strings. As always, I found them annoyingly "zingy" to start with but they are starting to settle to a still pleasantly live sound without being too zingy.I wonder if anyone has studied the response from strings as they age and the comparative rate of tonal change over time.It would be interesting to see graphs of the different harmonic outputs and how they fade over time.
Any budding audio analysts out there to follow this up and guide us to the best strings?
