Beware Facebook messages from "me"...

Postby David Martin » Tue Feb 09, 2010 9:07 am

Sorry to report that someone has accessed my Facebook account and sent at least one message to a member here - ostensibly from me - inviting them to access a site which will infest their machine with a virus or worm.

I have now secured the account - I hope - but just in case, please note that I don't really use that site for anything purposeful so regard anything that appears to come from that source as suspect...

Thanks and apologies to Alan Bakewell and Alan Prudhoe...

No problem David. I am using a German anti-virus system.

Very efficient.

Glad you got it sorted.

Cheers, Alan.

No harm done, David.
My anti-virus system picked it up OK.

Is this anti-virus system the reason that we have not had the expected number of swine flu cases??

Possibly Paul.
I did get an email warning me you could catch swine flu from eating tinned pork but I deleted it.
It think it was just spam.

Don't know if this is just a coincidence but....

2007 - Chinese year of the Chicken – there was a Bird Flu Pandemic
2008 - Chinese year of the Horse – we had Equine Influenza
2009 - Chinese year of the Pig – we’ve got Swine Flu

2010 - Chinese year of the Cock –
