Wanna buy a cheap guitar Guv?

Did anybody see the Crime watch appeal tonight re the Italian guitar collection stolen in 2006? they reckon a few have turned up for sale in the Leeds area recently.

Not a Fiesta Red Strat amongst the lot though!

I bought a Parker P38 from a guy on Ebay up there last month, and our area rep for Leeds collected it for me, just had him on the phone in a panic - had he been handling stolen goods? his wife was worried!!! (actually from the background noises I'd say she was on a high thinking she'd solved the crime of the century!)

Glad to say Parkers of any description don't figure on the wanted list.

I wonder if the Italian chap with the large villa is the collector whose gear has been stolen? Some time ago on a thread here, there was a photo of his huge collection set up on stands on the stairway out front of the villa.

Also, a thought crossed my mind when the report mentioned Leeds, which is or was the location of a well known vintage dealer recently in legal strife! :roll:

I find this a bit of a puzzle ,have all these guitars been stolen from one place? looks like a shop in some of the pictures ,were all of the guitars stolen at once,any more information on this

It would seem the thieves took around 130+ guitars approx 100 have been recovered, those shown are what are still missing.

If you look on the crime watch website you can find more details.
