Gerry Anderson

Very sad to see that Gerry Anderson has revealed that he is suffering from dementia.

This man created so many brilliant TV shows; so many unique ideas sprang from his mind. Sadly, it seems that those days are now over.

On a personal level, his shows have entertained me since I was a very small boy and even afforded me my very first professional publishing opportunity. And let's not forget the inclusion of both Cliff and the Shadows in Thunderbirds are Go!

Keep smiling, Gerry. And best wishes.

Chris.

Sad to hear this news. When Border and Grampian Independent Television
started in the autumn of 1961, they were beginning a run of 3 ITC series
concurently namely Torchy (the battery boy), Four Feather Falls, and Supercar.
All in black and white of course but now more memorable for the theme music
provided by Michael Holliday(FFF) and Barry Gray (Supercar)

And a lot of the guys that served their time with him making the special effects later progressed to putting their expertise to use in a great many feature films...especially the bond and star wars series.

Great track Jim. Super sound and playing we dont get enough of the Bass VI stuff. Good one.
Didnt you play this, plus a second Bass VI number, at the Friday night get together, Shadowmania, a few years ago?
Regards Geoff.
