Sir Cliff Sings "F.B.I."

Postby donna plasky » 01 Oct 2012, 01:04

I think this video is from 1967, but in any case Sir Cliff (or somebody) has written lyrics to "F.B.I." I am posting only because it is unusual. I am not saying whether I like it or not, partly because I don't really know. :|

F.B.I. without Bruce doing the high kicks just isn't the same. 8-)

Kind regards,
Donna

Fabulous big band arrangement... crummy guitar sound.

I remember hearing Cliff sing that song - backed by the Shadows - on his Radio Luxembourg show, circa 1962!

Agreed, what a rubbish guitar sound! At last, someone who plays it worse than I do!
Not sure about this vocal of FBI,ok as a novelty I guess but I've always thought that Wonderful Land with suitable lyrics would make a great ballad. Mike Oldfield's piano arrangement was a fresh look but I think a vocal arrangement really could work.
IMHO, as they say!
