BREAKING NEWS--------BREAKING NEWS

As you all know Hank and Bruce played in skiffle groups while they were
at school before they went down to London.

We will be able to hear what it was all about by listening to Peter Donegan

he is the son of The King of Skiffle, Lonnie Donegan, and will be singing those iconic songs of the late fifties.

He will be closing the proceedings on Saturday, we do hope you will enjoy his performance.

Congratulations to your daughter, Malcolm, particularly as she had the good sense to go to my old alma mater. 8-)

Looks as if there will be a much reduced Scottish contingent at Gateshead this year, as Alan McK, John Miller and myself will also be absent (though for different reasons...)

You lucky people.
Peter Donegan was at the Stables in Wavendon (near Milton Keynes) a while back. Mary and I went to see him.
He was brilliant, put his heart and soul into his music and a real down to earth guy. I'm sure his dad would be very proud of him.
I seem to remember him saying he was driving all the way home after the gig too.
All the best
