Next SCSC will give a warm welcome to Abel Khineche visiting from Overseas. ( Have a look on U Tube )

He is coming to play a few of his specialist numbers on his way to cruise back home from Southampton. Well worth coming along to listen to his distinctive style

All usual activities will be going on - Bt's and nearly live band......( we do our best )

Geffers, I sent you a PM but could have as easily put a message on this thread, re parking and time to arrive. Also, when do you normally finish?

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Many thanks to all at The Heroes for a great night last night (Wednesday 26th August). It was the first time I'd been to a South Coast Club meeting (it's a hundred miles each way!) and I was very impressed by the venue and the great atmosphere.

Great playing all round, with a wonderful live band. And then there was Abel.... Definitely worth the five hours' drive!

Particular thanks to Abel, Derek Misselbrook, Barry Gillam, Bob Withrington and Geffers.

Best wishes.

Hi Jim

We loved having you down, 5 hours round trip!! ? That is dedication. Great to hear you play.

As for Abel, he did not disappoint, very distinctive style, incredible style to hear, and a really nice guy, it was great he made it down to us. Nice to see Gillian as well.

I suppose he is tucking in to a nice 5 course meal by now ........ Bon Voyage!!

Thanks for you kind comments on our evening, in October it will be 12 years old for the SCSC ! ( every 3 weeks )

Don't leave it so long next time.
