MagicStomp/Q20 Tone Correction?

Postby dyker124 » Thu Jan 12, 2012 7:58 pm

Hi All,

Does anyone know whether Charlie's patches in the Yamaha MagicStomp or the Q20 modify the tone at all, or just the echos and reverb?

I ask the question because in the combination below the output tone is different. Assume the guitar and Line 6 POD are the same.

Guitar -> MagicStomp -> Line 6 POD ->

Guitar -> Alesis Q20 -> Line 6 POD ->

Kind regards
Roger

I think it does some EQ in the quadraverb, not so sure about yamaha though.
If you scroll through the tone setting in quadraverbs for different echo machines youll notice differences in the frequency settings

Hi John,

Thanks for the information. I think that is where the difference between the two must be.

Kind regards
Roger
