JOHN HIGGS' HEALTH

Postby Twangle Belly » Sun Nov 23, 2014 12:29 pm

Sunday 23rd November 2014

Hello Spence, Lorraine and all at the Kent Shadows Music Club,

As many of you will by now know - I have suddenly been diagnosed with Leukaemia and I am in hospital undergoing chemotherapy treatment

I'm not feeling too clever as a result so you'll forgive me for this message being short.

I want to thank you all for the card with such kind words therein. I have a wonderful family, superb friends and brilliant doctors so everything is on my side.

I can't wait to get back behind my axe - complete with the obligatory bum note here or there of course.

Kind regards,

John Higgs.

Hello Spence, Lorraine and all at KSMC.

May I thank you all most sincerely for the card that you all signed and said so many wonderful things to me on it. It can only help greatly in my recovery.

I've been pretty rough over the past week but I'm responding to the treatment so I'm grinning and bearing it as best I can.

I'm glad that the Christmas meeting was so good - my heart was there I can assure you.

Thanks again for all your kind words and support.

John.

Hello Spence, Lorraine and all at the Kent Shadows Club

Firstly thank you all so much for all your letters, cards and 'phone calls over the last few week. I haven''t been able to acknowledge most of them as it's so difficult trying to do everything lying on your back in hospital all day. That in itself has left me very weak.

Anyway, I'm home again now and I'm trying to catch up on things. I''ve tried playing a guitar but my fingers won't respond. The feeling is all wrong. Hopefully, it'll return quickly.

I can't wait to, at least, come to the club again even if it's just to watch and see you all again.

kind regards to you all and I'll see you all a.s.a.p.

John Higgs.

Good news John that you're at home now. Let's hope you're on the way back to good health again and that you'll be back at the club soon. It'll be good to see you. Don't worry about the fingers not responding on the guitar neck, it's a common problem!

All the very best to you and your family and I look forward to seeing you at the club.

Warm wishes

John
