Posted: Thu Aug 18, 2011 3:45 am26th June saw a fee concert by the Deco City Shadows as the Napier R.S.A. There was approx 350 in attendance including members of the local R n R and dance clubs.
It also saw the official launch of the Hawke's Bay Shadows Club, when 50 members joined.

AGM's are generally a 'somber' occasion with reports and screeds upon screeds of boring old figures for the members to contemplate. That was certainly not the case this year when the Royal New Zealand Naval Assn. not only cooked the Sunday Lunch for the record crowd, they provided entertainment that set the place rocking well into the late afternoon.
The DECO CITY SHADOWS set the dance floor alight with a heavily tainted Cliff Richard Show and the Rock N Rollers blissfully boogied the afternoon away. What can we say, other than WOW guys, you really made it happen. Just remember same time,same place next year PLEASE !
